Campaign

Campaigning for better treatment

Already in 2006 TALC has rolled out two major major advocacy campaigns - our AIDS March for better representation of people living with HIV and AIDS and our campaign to make HIV an election issue.
For more details and pictures of the march, visit the Advocacy pages of the the TALC website.
Our current campaign aims to make HIV an election issue and already we are noticing some success.
TALC members have produced a questionnaire for all candidates with completed questionnaires slowly filtering back to TALC.
The media has also shown an interest in the campaign, with ZNBC journalists using the questionnaire to question political parties about their commitment.

The Post editor also gave support to the campaign - despite claims by MMD's Dr Chituwo saying that HIV was not an election issue.
