Treatment

Members

TALC has more than 100 members and our numbers are growing as our activities get off the ground.

TALC is a membership-based organisation with representation from PLHA support groups, NGOs, Government, health professionals and the media, among others.

Only organisations can join TALC - not individuals - and they can join as either members or friends.

Member organisations have the right to vote at TALC monthly meetings and therefore determine TALC policy. A friend is an organisation that supports TALC from a distance, either financially or in kind and does not have the right to vote.

Joining TALC as a friend or member organisation is free and open to all who are committed to TALC’s vision and mission.

TALC vision
A Zambia where people have what they require to live meaningful, productive and quality lives.

TALC mission
To ensure informed and empowered PLHA are able to advocate for access to comprehensive treatment and support and respect for their rights.

In its vision, TALC intentionally extends beyond PLHA, recognizing that the benefits of treatment advocacy and literacy also impact the livelihoods of families and communities affected by HIV/AIDS, and reflecting TALC’s concern for the welfare of all Zambians. For this reason TALC members do not have to be HIV positive.
